The deficit deal turned out exactly as expected. It will cut $2.4 trillion, most all of this will be at the expense of the poor, middle class, elderly and sick.Meanwhile, the richest 0.01% will continue their plunder, unharmed in the slightest, still sucking the life-blood out of the real economy with their corporate welfare and Wall Street Ponzi.
And now we have an unconstitutional “super congress” that will do their dirty work and implement a harsh program of austerity. As this Bloomberg headline just summed it up: “Debt Deal Puts U.S. on Austerity Path as Economy Falters.”
Rep. Emanuel Cleaver was spot on when he summed it up by saying: “It looks like a Satan sandwich.”
